Topher Paolucci is a Brooklyn based composer and music director from Long Island, NY. He has twelve years of music directing experience, working on shows like Matilda JR (Broadway Workshop), Stealing Time (Sound Bites XII Festival – Theatre Now) and Echo: A Musical Quest (The Center at West Park)

 

He is currently on tour with A Beautiful Noise as the Rehearsal Pianist/Sub Keys 2 and recently worked as a Music Assistant/Rehearsal Pianist on Rolling Thunder at New World Stages. He has previously worked as a Music Assistant for workshops of The Dark Lady and Take the

Lead and worked as a Music Director for Broadway Workshop, Triple Promise

Academy, and as Substitute Music Director

for The First Presbyterian Church of Oyster

Bay.​ In 2018, Topher composed,

orchestrated, and music directed the

original musical Start from Hello with book

and lyrics by Michaela Vivona which was workshopped both at Syracuse University and the Musical Theatre Festival in NYC.​

 

​He has an MFA from NYU Tisch in Musical Theatre Writing and BA in Global Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he has done composition workshops at the Curtis Institute of Music and Film Scoring Academy of Europe, and a conducting masterclass under Ted Sperling at NYU. In his spare time, Topher enjoys watching analysis videos of films that he has only seen through YouTube clips and podcasts where gay people talk about X-Men comics.
